Doctoral Milestones Project

Overview
The University of North Texas Learning Technologies Doctoral program, or LTEC, offers two options for enrolling students – to join with other students taking classes at the Denton-based campus, or to participate online as a member of a distributed cohort. Distributed students take the same classes together, but generally do not meet in person except for an annual meeting attended by their classmates, faculty members, and mentors.

A web-based group of resources have been designed by a team comprising members of the UNT Cohorts of 2021, 2022, and 2023. These resources have been created to enable future doctoral cohorts, to meet milestones more effectively and assist in connecting faculty and students prior to their first face-to-face meeting in person.

This project involves the development of a web-based outline and related crowdsourced resources, to help beginning LTEC students in the distributed program. Users will use the outline and additional resources to understand, plan, and work towards major milestones in their doctoral study, and to further connections to their faculty members prior to the annual meeting.
